This Privacy Policy explains how Promo Doctor collects, uses, and protects data when merchants install and use the Service.
1. Information We Access
Through the Shopify Admin GraphQL API, Promo Doctor accesses the minimum store data required to analyze promo code performance, scoped to:
read_orders— order totals, discounts applied, and refunds (last 60 days)read_discounts— code-based discount definitionsread_price_rules— price rule metadata associated with discount codes
Promo Doctor does not request, read, or store individual customer profiles, customer contact details, or product catalog data.
2. How We Use Data
We use accessed data only to operate and improve Promo Doctor features, including:
- promo code profitability analytics
- discount cost and return impact diagnostics
- alerts and performance summaries
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent merchant data.
We do not share merchant data with third parties except as required to provide the Service (for example, secure infrastructure providers) or as required by law.
4. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal or contractual obligations.
Merchants may uninstall Promo Doctor at any time. Data handling after uninstall will follow Shopify requirements and applicable law.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
6. Your Responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their Shopify credentials and controlling access to their Shopify admin accounts.
